Santa’s Visit

On Christmas Eve we went to church and then to Grandmother's to celebrate Christmas. During dinner there were some special guests that stopped in, Santa and Mrs. Claus. Blake and Jace were both excited to see him but not really as excited as I thought they were going to be. Blake sat on Santa's lap and got to ring his bells. A little while later Blake came back and asked Santa where his reindeer were and Santa told him that they were up on the roof top across the street. Blake replied, "Ok!" and went off to play. Apparently that answer pleased him. Jace also went and sat on Santa's lap and got a bag of candy from him. Jace immediately opened the bag of candy and ate a sucker out of it. Jace was very happy with Santa. However, there were other good little girls that weren't so happy with seeing Santa, Lydia and Addison didn't care for Santa so much!

The boys had such a wonderful time at Grandmother's playing with the other kids, big and small. Blake and Jace played "try and get him" with Matt. Matt would pretend to go one way and then run down the hallway in the opposite direction. When they would catch him then they would latch onto his legs and try to tackle him. I was a little nervous about Matt getting hurt because he just had major knee surgery 5 weeks ago. Blake and Jace also had a wonderful time playing with Ella and Will Wetzel and Addison.
